Position Summary

We are seeking a versatile, high-energy, and results-driven Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our team in Addis Ababa. This dual-role position requires a professional who can seamlessly manage internal office operations and walk-in customer service, while proactively driving business growth through strategic corporate field sales, B2B client acquisition, and relationship management

Key Responsibilities

Actively identify and visit potential business clients (importers, exporters, e-commerce businesses, and corporate offices) in Addis Ababa to promote Marathon Express services.

Pitch our specialized Dubai-to-Addis Ababa cargo/courier solutions, air freight, and land freight services to secure new accounts.

Meet sales targets by converting prospects into active customers and maintaining a healthy pipeline of new business.

Gather insights on competitor pricing, market trends, and customer needs to help optimize our service offerings.

Warmly welcome walk-in customers, handle inquiries, and provide accurate information regarding shipping rates, transit times, and customs requirements.

Handle incoming calls and emails, prepare shipping labels, calculate weights/rates, and accurately enter shipment data into the system.

Track shipments, provide real-time updates to clients, and proactively resolve any delivery discrepancies or customer complaints.

Coordinate closely with the warehouse, customs clearance team, and last-mile delivery couriers to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 1+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or operations, ideally within the logistics, courier, or freight forwarding industry.

Female Candidates ONLY

Skills

Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills for outdoor sales.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in

Amharic and English

(knowledge of Arabic is a plus).

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and adaptability to logistics tracking systems.

Attributes

Highly self-motivated, resilient, comfortable with field/outdoor work, and possessing a customer-first mindset.
